LAURENT PRONEUR (LONE)
Writer/composer/producer LAURENT PRONEUR (LONE) is one of the inescapable "Heat Makers" of France. His multitude of skills has helped him establish himself as a talent both in Europe and the United States, specifically a talent with an ear for big songs.
His gift for creating hits began in 1992 with AS (Universal) and their songs "La Beat Party," "Le Boom," "Les Bancs Publics" in which Lone multitasked as a writer, a group member, and producer. In 1993, he worked with Rico (Polydor/Universal), writing and producing the hits "Rabadub Style" and "On S'la Donne." He wrote and produced himself as an artist on his own album Lone (Barclay) in 1994. From there, Lone built his first production company "La Sauce Production" and in 1995 signed Afrodiziac (whom he later licensed to Virgin Records) and Busta Flex as his first artists, and in 1996 wrote and produced his album. The following year Lone signed Busta Flex to Warner where he served, again, as both writer and producer.
Lone's entrepreneurial spirit spurred him to create his second production company, "Heat Maker" in 1998. That same year, he found a deal for himself with Sony where he wrote and produced the second solo album of his career. In 1999, Lone traveled to New York where he wrote and produced the songs "Bye Bye" and "Touch" for Menelik (Sony). The next year, while still in New York, Lone created another hit for himself with "Toute Ma Vie Au Soleil." He also signed artist Camille Angel to "Heat Maker" and wrote and produced a track for her popular group.
He focused on writing and producing throughout 2001 and worked with artists such as Ophelie Winter (Warner), Lord Kossity, Cannibus, Organiz (BMG), and Camille Angel (Warner).
Lone continues writing and producing – he composed Triim's "Pop The Music," a summer 2005 hit in France. His other projects include Sony artist SoShy ("The Way I"), Jodie Rehster, and Canadian rocker Jonas.
